For book printing, there have 5 normal binding ways: saddle
stitch, perfect glue, section sewing, wire binding, hardcover
Saddle stitch binding:
For less pages book printing, the book cover affixed with a page, the
spine of the book staple, three sides cut into a book. This binding is the cheapest one, process is
simple, short delivery cycle, easy to cross-page puzzle.
Scope of application: the number of pages
must be a multiple of 4, if the paper stock is 157g, then pages need no more
than 48p, the finished product thickness is less than 4mm.
Note: when the weight of the cover and the
inner pages is large, the cover is easy to fall off from the binding after used
for a long time.
Perfect glue binding:
Cover and paste the
book according to the order of the page, glue the spine with the cover, cut 3
sides into a book.
It is characterized by low price, beautiful
appearance and long lead time than saddle stitch binding.
Applicable scope: the number of pages can
not be a multiple of 4, if the thickness is 157g art paper, pages must more
than 48p, the thickness of the finished product is more than 4mm, less than
30mm.
Note: it is difficult to open the page, not
easy to cross page puzzle, if the weight of the paper weight is high then it is
easy to drop the page during used.
Section sewn binding:
Cover and paste the book according to the
page order, then make the book core with the line in order, then glue the spine
with the cover, cut 3 sides into a book.
The characteristic is to bind fastidious,
high-grade, not to drop the page, easy to cross the page puzzle, but the
production time is longer.
Application: the binding thickness is 157g
of coated page, more than 48p, the thickness of the finished product is
unlimited.
Note: the production cycle is long and the
cost is high.
Wire binding:
Cut and punch all the pages of the book,
and arrange them in the order of the pages.
The characteristics of the ring products
are strong and durable, can be 180 degrees or 360 degrees turn over, flat.
Applicaton: the binding thickness is 157g
of coated paper, and the pages must more than 16p.
Note: high cost, very suitable for
frequently turning desk calendar, tool manual, etc.
Hardcover binding:
Cut and paste the pages of the book back to
back.
Features: elegant binding, not off the page
, strong and durable, cross-page no puzzle.
Application: the binding thickness is 157g
of coated paper, and the products above 16p are suitable.
Note: single printing process, binding time
is long.
